Gauge Function

Given a nonempty convex set C ⊆ R^m, the gauge is defined by

γ(x | C ) = inf { λ ≥ 0 | x ∈ λC}

The function

ψ(x | C ) = sup { λ ≥ 0 | x ∈ λC}

is called the reciprocal gauge.
